Calendar Competition
The Aimhigher Norfolk 2011 Calendar Competition is already underway. The summer holidays are an ideal time to get out your camera and snap the winning picture. The competition is open to students from Norfolk schools, sixth forms and colleges, from Year 7 through to Year 13.
Entries in previous years have been of such a high standard that it has been difficult to choose the twelve photos that will make it onto the Aimhigher Calendar. Your submission could be included in the calendar next year, but there are several rules you need to follow:
- You can submit up to four images.
- Images must be in colour.
- No digital enhancements or special effects, including HDR.
- Due to the layout of the calendar, images must crop to a square format.
- Photos must be taken in a high resolution. The best way to accomplish this is to set your camera to take the best quality pictures possible. We are ideally looking for pictures that are at 300dpi, or 800 pixels on each side. As a guide, if your picture is over 1MB in size, it will probably be large enough to print.
- Pictures must be taken in Norfolk.
The winner of the competition will receive £100 and their photo will be featured on the cover of the calendar. All entrants whose photos are used in the calendar will receive a canvas print of their image, as well as ten copies of the calendar to give to friends and family.
You can submit your images by post or e-mail. Postal entries should be sent on a CD or memory stick to:

All entries need to be received by 5PM on Monday 1 November. Good luck and get snapping!
