Aimhigher Norfolk

"I am the Aimhigher Officer for the East of Norfolk. This area stretches from Acle to Flegg High Schools towards the coast, incorporating Great Yarmouth Excellence Cluster and reaching as far as Hobart High School in the South. East Norfolk Sixth Form and Great Yarmouth College serve the area with post-16 provision.

"I have worked with Aimhigher for the past five years, successfully planning and facilitating a programme of activities for students in Years 9-13. Prior to this I was employed in both Primary and Secondary Schools and at UEA.

"Through setting up a range of activities and projects I am keen to raise the aspirations of young people to help them achieve their potential. As a parent myself I understand the anxieties felt by parents when helping their offspring make important decisions about their futures.

"Aimhigher Norfolk have funding for a further three years from August 2008. During this time I will be working most closely with Caister, Great Yarmouth, Cliff Park and Oriel High Schools. The schools will be encouraged to participate in the Aimhigher Progression Framework, enabling their students to benefit from the range of activities on offer.

"I am keen to support the staff in all the schools in my area to enable their students to benfit from Aimhigher activities"
