Revision Tips

Want to do well in your exams? You need to get organised when it comes to revision.

You can greatly improve your chances of doing well in your exams if you:

  • Make a revision plan timetable and stick to it
  • Plan to revise in short bursts for particular topics rather than whole subjects
  • Experiment to find which memory-aids work best for you...you could try graphics, flow charts, summary notes, cartoons, highlighters, tape recordings, key point cards…
  • Get friends or family to test you
  • revise where it’s quiet and you’ve space to spread out your files
  • Take regular breaks and give yourself a small reward when you complete a task
  • Sleep and eat well
  • revise regularly and often

Before the exam, make sure you check the date and time you have to be there - and leave plenty of time to get there.
